Red Hallway

The hallway connects to the dining room. Different doors sprout out in different directions. Some are just closets, but others lead to more interesting locations. There's a bend near the end of the hall, leading to the dorms.

True Destroyer: He comes back out of the room, panting, holding Clober like a football.

Clober: She struggles in The Destroyer's grasp, before eventually breaking free. As she stumbles to the floor, she looks back up at him.

"W-Why!? What was even going ON in there? Why did you force us out!?"

True Destroyer: Tears still trickle from his face...and he can barely bring himself to reply.

"We've...created a monster. Wren, who...who wants to see everything snuffed out. Who wants to...cleanse the world...M-Mom...Wren..."

Clober: She gets back to her feet. "You keep saying that name...is this Wren person related to you, somehow? Are you...okay?"

She shakes her head around. Focus, dammit. Way too much has been happening to ask so many dumb questions. "Wait a second! Why did you save me!? You worked with whoever this Wren guy is by the sounds of it, shouldn't you have let me get blown up or whatever!?"

True Destroyer: "...Leave me alone."

He speeds off, gone in the blink of an eye on those fast legs of his. Clober reaches a hand out, but...he's already gone.

Clober: She grumbles. Was that a waste of time, or not? Did that mean anything? Does she tell Hitori about apples!?

Clober: (...Breathe Clober. Breathe.)

(You...want to be a better person, right? Then act like it. Do something useful...anything.)

With a deep breath, she turns around and peeks back into the interaction booth again.

Interaction Booth

Clober: "...Hello? Did something..."

An apple is on the podium.

"...Happen?"

☍ : "They're gone."

☆ : "Yeah, I don't know either."

☆ : "But the blood they dropped made that apple!"

Clober: "They...huh?"

She cautiously steps into the booth, padding over to the podium carefully. They attempt to pick up the apple...

...But at the last moment, something teleports it away. She retracts her hand, flinching.

☆ : "Oh, guess we can't find out what would happen if someone ate it."

⤧ : "WE SHOULD NOT EAT THE DEITY APPLE"

☆ : "I'M CURIOUSSSSSSS"

Clober: "I-I mean...maybe it went somewhere? That apple might've been important, but...I dunno. I feel so stupid and little right now, dammit."

She growls at herself, looking back to the podium. "I have this gut feeling about it, but...it feels like that Wren person is slipping. That deity might've broken something, judging by how they're apparently just gone all of a sudden. Did...did we learn something we weren't supposed to?"

☆ : "Oh you most certainly did."

☆ : "I don't think I should elaborate much more than that, though..."

☍ : "It sure as hell seems like it, yeah... and mayhaps, they won't be the only one to go...? Hah, wouldn't that be a treat!"

☆ : "I don't want to go to the void yet..."

Θ : "this is why i suggested we don’t mess with the deity apple-"

Clober: "Don't say that!" She yelps. "I'm gonna...do something! I swear! I'll-- I'll protect Hitori, and make sure nothing bad happens to them...I..."

...That bare podium before her. The crackling room...the feeling of emptiness, with this room now barren of another voice.

"...Can I do anything?"

☆ : "I don't know if you can, but you might as well do your best."

☆ : "You won't get anywhere if you don't try."

☍ : "...keep them in check. Everything's bound to get worse before it gets better, hah... so stick to it. You have to."

☍ : "Considering the state of things," they pause, as to look around the crumbling room, "it seemed near inevitable. So, if you need anything from us... or me... we'll make due."

☆ : "Yeah...."

Clober: "...Got it. I...don't know why I was the one chosen by whoever the hell to do this, but I will try. As long as I can keep moving...!"

She switches gear, turning around to leave again. But just as she does...she waves back at the crumbling booth, before shutting the door.

☆ : "...I would wave back if I could."
