Green Hallway

This hallway, unlike the others, seems to bend and distort weirdly as you walk through it. And when you get to the door on the other side...you enter the yellow sector. A few doors also line the halls, like normal.

Dax: "...Did you hear that? It sounded like a big, loud noise."

Rue: "I faintly did. It's probably fine, since we haven't heard an announcement or anything."

Dax: "Oh yeah. That makes sense."

He stops walking, in the middle of the hallway.

"...Why are we here again? My head's spinning."

Rue: "I don't know. I was just following you 'cause I wasn't done talking to you yet."

He blinks, looking around at the swerving hallway.

"...As for this hallway, I think it's always been weird looking."

Dax: "Oh yeah. I, uh...almost forgot about the thing we were talking about."

A small purr escapes their throat, and they lean against one of the twisted green walls. "So...you think I'm not a threat to anyone? I don't get it, but... I trust you, dear, so I'll try to believe that too."

Rue: "...Mhm."

Blink. Blink.

"...Why do you call people dear so often, also?"

Dax: "Oh. Uh. I don't know. I just like the word. Try saying it: dear."

Rue: "...Dear. . . . I don't feel anything."

Dax: "That's okay."

Skipping off of the wall, they come over and grip Rue's hand.

"We should probably stop being all sad now. I heard there was a surgery room somewhere in this hall, want to go see it?"

Rue: A shiver is sent down Rue's spine as his hand intertwines with Dax's; although Dax doesn't seem to feel any sort of way about such a gesture, beginning to drag Rue along, Rue feels...off.

Is he sick? Dying? Losing his mind? Hallucinating, like the repugnant bird said he would?

...No. He probably was just sick, he thought as he followed Dax's lead.
