AV Room

The AV room looks more like a home theater than anything corporate. There's carpet flooring, a nice blue light to the room, and comfy, reclining seats. A small video/audio setup stage is close to the main monitor.

Paradi: The screen is showing nothing but static.

Although, Paradi seems to be watching like it's their favorite television show. Giggling under their breath, a slight blush on their face, kicking their feet in the seat...

Arsenic: ...Arsenic is also there. She has been for a while, holding a bag of chips, her gaze switching between Paradi and the screen.

"...What the fuck are you doing?"

Paradi: It takes a second for Paradi to say anything, let alone realize they were even addressed. A small grin appears on their sly face. "Ah, you probably don't see it, do you?"

They turn back to the screen. "To most, it is probably nothing, but I am not immune to the gas. I hear... the sounds of crying children. The static is pulsating and writhing, like my flesh used to. Ahh..."

They lean back, purring as they close their eyes. "Reminds me of... home. Makes me a little less antsy, you know? I could almost allow myself to be kind... but I simply cannot."

Arsenic: The description alone was enough to make Arsenic stop eating. She wasn't hungry anymore. The look of confusion she wore only grew with each word they said.

"Absolutely nothing you say makes any sense. Maybe you should, just..."

She saw it again, in the corner of her eye. That familiar face had returned. Her fur bristled, like a cold winter's chill had blown through her.

"...Shut up. Just shut up. I'm here to relax, not to hear you."

Paradi: "Oh? Do you...fear the past, Arsenic? I thought you were strong enough not to care for that."

Arsenic: She growls. "Not a matter of strength, you dick! I just don't give a fuck what weird horror show shit your brain is cooking up. Let me eat my chips in peace."

Paradi: "Ahahah..."

They give a slow, methodical blink, like that of a cat, before going back to staring at the static.

The longer the stare at it, the more they feel nauseous. The more they feel at home. This feeling... it's all they really have left, isn't it?

Arsenic: And as soon as Paradi's attention is diverted, she whips her head back to see if that...vision...is still there.

???: It is. The face of that younger sibling of hers, watching her like a lost puppy.

"Why haven't you done it yet?" Brother said.

Arsenic: "...Go away." She mutters, her voice kept down only by Paradi's presence. She knows it's not real...it can't be. That her attempts to push the vision away are in vain. But every time she looks at them...and hears those voices, and those cries...

???: Another one appears.

"Go on, girl, get her for us. You don't have much time to get revenge." Father said.

Arsenic: "I...I..."

Paradi: "Hm?" Paradi glances back, tilting their head. "Seeing things, Arsenic~?"

Arsenic: ...

She runs off. The chips don't even go with her, as she accidentally kicks them to the floor.

Paradi: They roll their eyes. "Ugh, how rude. Guess I get some treats, at least."

Poof!

The Lost: The prota shifts forms, fluttering onto the ground to start pecking at the chips scattered everywhere.
