Don: ...It's Don. He's just...staring at it on Tarnish's old bedside dresser, tilting his head like a curious puppy.
Stranger: "Don."
Don: "Ah!" He jumped. "Oh, ahahah...Stranger. Hello! Look, look what I found! A book!"
Stranger: "...Yes, that came from the cathedral."
Don: "And, right next to it, a code!"
Stranger: "Yes, that's- huh!?"
Don: "Look! Look, see? A code!"
As Stranger paces over, he points to it excitedly.
...It's a note, reading:
FROM MR BEAST VIDEO (I THINK THATS HOW IT WAS SPELT),
CODE WAS: 55378
REMEMBER THAT, ME!!
Stranger: "...No idea who Mr Beast is...though he might've mentioned that name once in the group chat...?"
He shrugs. "No idea what any of it means, that code or that book. Apparently the latter's in "Glith", but...can't speak that."
Don: "...But I know someone who does!" He says, looking as if a lightbulb went off in his head.
"Let me take these, Stranger, to continue the legacy of the worldburner, hahah...!" He giggles, picking up the note and book. "My research is endless! Perhaps this place isn't so bad after all...I get to live normally for once!"
And before Stranger can get another word in, he's already run off.
Stranger: ...Welp.
Looking at the dresser again, he notices a small flower pot with an orange flower inside...
...He never likes to take too much. He grabs the pot, and solemnly goes to leave.
"...Goodnight, Tarnish." He whispers under his breath, shutting the door behind him.
