The Kitchen

It's an entire kitchen, filled to the brim with food and supplies...it is, of course, also very blue.

Hitori: MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Yup. That's the sound of a microwave. Hitori is staring at the little machine expectantly, waiting for their meal...they were always a big fan of microwaveable mac and cheese. At least...they think they were.

Rue: "Oh, You're here."

Rue quietly walks in, giving nothing more than a brief greeting before beginning to peruse the shelves for something.

Hitori: "Hey, Rue. Uhh...how's it been?"

They give a wave, although...it's still a bit awkward talking to him. Especially with how blank his face and voice always is...then again, they have a giant censor bar over their eyes, so they can't really complain about not having a readable expression.

Rue: "Fine."

He pulls out a bag of chips.

"I'm just getting a quick snack before I go to the booth. There's some things I need to ask those guys."

Hitori: Their eye widens. "Oh yeah! ...That place probably has a much bigger hole in it now, doesn't it? I should probably go see them, too..."

They glance away...oh god, the deities are probably disappointed in them. They were meant to help people last time, but...their efforts helped someone kill two people, didn't it?

Hitori's frills droop downwards. They...should go. They should apologize, if they can.

Rue: "I would prefer you to not come with me. These are things I need to remain private."

Hitori: They perk back up again, surprised. "H-Huh? I mean, that's fine, but...what kind of things are you even talking about in there?"

Rue: "..."

Hitori: "...That was a stupid question, huh? Sorry...but, ah, good luck!"

Rue: ...He nods, opening his bag of chips as he silently takes his leave. The sound of him crunching away can be faintly heard outside as he walks off...leaving Hitori alone again.

Hitori: "...Man...I'm not doing my best, huh." They talk to themselves. "...Dammit, Hitori! You gotta stay strong. You got to be someone people can believe in!"

Ding.

The meal of theirs is finished, Hitori peeking through the glass to stare at it. Faintly, they see their own reflection in that yellow-tinted window...

"Because...you think someone needs you. Somewhere out there."
