Blue Hallway
It's another hallway, similar to the red hallway. This one is blue, of course, with a bunch of doors leading to some closets and a bunch of other places. Near the end of the hallway seems to be a double-door, but it's locked...and nothing but void looks to be on the other side.
Lotus: Step step step step step step step
"Please be okay-- please be okay--!!"
Stranger: Stranger ran behind Lotus, both of them racing into the cat room. Granted, they could be in any number of places right now...although this was their best first shot.
Lotus: And as Lotus got to the cat room, he swiftly opened the door.
Cat Room
Lotus: The sound of cats purring. Meows. A ball running along the floor as a cat chases it.
These are all of the things Lotus sees first.
And there, at the center of the room. . .
Dax: ...Was Dax. Perfectly fine, and petting some kittens.
"Oh, hello you two~! How is the party going? I didn't feel like showing up."
Lotus: " . . . "
Lotus: "Dax. Someone just died."
Dax: "...Oh."
They blink, staring at the floor. "...Oh dear."
Stranger: Sigh.
"Dax, what were you doing in here? Did you hear anything suspicious going on?"
Dax: "Nope! I've been here for the past few hours hanging out. All I heard was that wicked fight out there...Lotus, you saw me here before you went to the party too, yeah~?"
Lotus: "T...True...but I was still worried something happened to you."
Dax: "How sweet of you...but I believe we have more important things to attend to."
They sit up. "Mind if I accompany you on your search for clues? I don't want to seem useless."
Stranger: "Sure thing. Let's go. We have no time to lose."
And they're off.
